Art Prints for Mixtiles

I couldn’t be more excited to collaborate with Mixtiles on a set of art prints! If you haven’t already heard of this company, Mixtiles sources beautiful artwork from all over the globe & allows you to create a gallery wall that’s cohesive and really easy to install.

We’ve lived in our house for nearly five years now, and I’m ashamed to admit that we still haven’t hung a lot of artwork on our walls. For the most part, our walls are still bare, so, now that these art prints have launched, I will be remedying this situation very soon!

Unlike a lot of other vendors, all Mixtiles art prints come framed and ready to hang without using any nails. This is one of my favorite things about this company - not only do they offer free shipping worldwide, but their frames have a sticky surface attached to the backs of them that stick directly to your walls. You simply peel off the backing, and voila - you’re all set! If you’re like me, hanging a gallery wall can be really tedious and time consuming, so this method is something that is VERY appealing.

Mixtiles also has a variety of sizes available, so you can choose from small, square art prints or from large-scale, rectangular-shaped prints to help fill bigger spaces. There are several different frame options as well, including white, black, and edge-to-edge printing. The frames don’t leave marks, either. If you get tired of the artwork after a few years or decide to rearrange things a bit, it’s really easy to move things around and re-stick your frames, when needed.

My style is traditionally soft and subtle, as one of my goals is to make your space feel a little more beautiful and a lot more calm. We live in such a busy world that often favors things (and people) that are loud, proud, and in your face. I try to do the exact opposite with my surface pattern designs. While you could use these prints in just about any space, these illustrations were designed with nurseries and children’s rooms in mind.

When our daughter was really little, she’d be up half the night every night either crying, eating, or doing a bit of both. Those early days of parenthood are extremely difficult, but hopefully, having soothing prints like these will help calm little ones (and their parents). Just like the birds featured above, I wanted this artwork to serve as a reminder that each moment, no matter how difficult, is fleeting. We’re all only here for a short period of time, so we might as well make the most of it, while we can.
